  WHAT IS RESONANCE?

          Resonance can and is described in many different ways.This
      web page is dedicated to the effect that resonance and vibrations have 
      on structures such as buildings and bridges.This web site will also 
      explain how engineers design around resonance and what happens

  PURPOSE OF THIS SITE
 

            This site is a project in a Technical Writing class at the University
    of Louisiana at Lafayette.  I chose this topic because I am a civil 
      engineering major with interests in mathematics, particularly 
      differential equations.  The topic of structural resonance combines 
      both areas.  Therefore, please keep this in mind while viewing and if
