Newsies Spoof
Backstory

Short Version
My class got forced into doing a play. I watched the movie. It was so bad, I decided to make fun of it.

Long Version
I suppose you could say it all started when Mrs. R began to work at my school as the music teacher. She is so enthusiastic, bless her heart. She decided that, for our Music class grade, the entire grade, consisting of some talented, some not-so-talented individuals, would put on a full-scale musical, Newsies, for the school and parish. I got excited, went and rented and saw the movie, and wasn't as excited anymore. The movie stunk. I mean, REALLY stunk. Especially in the continuity department. *barfs* I had recently fallen in love with
Jerry the Frog Productions, and decided to make fun of Newsies along those lines. Here are the fruits of my work.
Nitty-Gritty Stuff That You Would Probably Figure Out Anyway
I've found with people who have read this that either you really, really like it, or you really, really don't. Either way is fine, but I advise you to stop reading if you've gotten past the fourth scene and still haven't laughed.

This is in a script-like form. If something is *between stars*, it signifies either an action or emotion. If something is CAPITALIZED, it's emphasized. If something is
in italics, it's filler like blah blah or La La. On that, if anything is interspersed with blah blah, it's a monologue, usually exposition. If it's interspersed with La La, it's a song that's being sung. I am the Omnipotent (all-powerful) Author, and my notes are in italics or parentheses.

I don't recommend reading this unless you've seen the movie. If you haven't, a lot is still funny, but you won't get some.
