THE TUTU BODICE

There are several different ways you can do this. Look at the picture below for a quick briefing:
As you can see, I still haven't figured out how to work my scanner/computer very well. And is now a good time to apologise for my lousy sketches? Oh well. To explain the question marks, this is just to promote "creativity"- there are no rules! Feel free to adapt to your own needs!

The easiest thing to do is start out with any princess-line bodice. You don't have to go out and splash money on a really nice Vogue pattern, but be warned now that a quality pattern will REALLY make life easier. You are going to HAVE to do some serious drafting later. The more you can minimise it now, the less you headache will be.

I've altered the necklines of all bodices, however again, this is not how it has to be. If you really don't feel like fiddling around with a silly bit of tulle/skin-coloured insert (which appears here as a funny cross-hatched thing), then just do any regular neckline (please note that the insert serves to a) keep the neckline from gaping and b) keeps the bigger girls from 'falling out' of their necklines. It really doesn't matter how flat you are- as the bottom bit of the "v" neckline tends to come to the middle of the bust, or below, you're going to have some dropping out unless the top of the 'v' doesn't come any lower than the top part of the bust- and if so, it's not really much of a 'v' in that case!)
