G. Keim Cycles
The 70's the bike boom was going full blast, and I entered my teens.  My first real bike was a 1973 Gran Prix. That started my love affair with Raleighs. 1975 I bought a 68' Schwinn Paramount P-10, then a 75'. P-15.  By that time i was hooked.  In 1978 I was fortunate to meet a guy named Tim Paterek who was running a small bike shop and building frames on the side.   A student of Terry Osell, I talked (pleaded) him into teaching my how to build frames and finishing my first one in 1979. then another in 1980, a custom made Cinelli, my pride and joy.  Later in 1981 I worked for a Schwinn dealer I Stillwater, then for a famous shop in St. Paul (most famous for their skate blades) called Strauss Skates. there i sold bikes and worked in the shop, doing all the skate warrenty work siver brazing the blades just like bicycles.  From time to time i would build a replacement fork, or upgrade frame brazeons, and do some frame repairs. by the end of the 90's i was a shop supervisor for one of the ERIK Bike Shops.  My real jobs has always been in engineering, working in field service, I always keeps bikes as a side job.   My "real job"  goes to paying the mortgage and uttilities." ; What I make from buying and selling bikes supports my collection.  I am not your typical road biker, being 6'3 almost 300lbs, i played football, basketball and baseball up until they thru me out of college.  I have no earings or tattoo's, or ever visit coffee shops.; I drive a older MGB and a Porsche and think Greg Lemond was the most underated cyclist to ever race.  Hope this gives ya a idea of who i am, take care.
