    The Center together with the Ateneo Graduate School of Business conducted a forum on "Corporate Governance & Business Ethics" last January 05, 2007 as a part of AGSB's 40th Anniversary Celebration.

     The speaker, Dr. Patricia H. Werhane a visiting professor of the Center is a prolific author, an acclaimed authority on employee rights in the workplace, one of the leading scholars on Adam Smith, and founder and former editor-in-chief of Business Ethics Quarterly, the leading Journal of Business Ethics.

     The talk focuses on the importance of ethics in the business sector and on the development of moral imaginations among leaders, to be able to withstand the age of globalization.

     The forum was attended by experts and ethicist of the academe and business sector. Among them were Atty. Rene Banez of the PLDT Corporate Governance Office, Mr. Jose L. Cuisia, Jr. of Philam Life Corporation, Mr. Washington Sycip of SGV & Company, and Mrs. Dulce Cacho-Fernandez the Center's benefactress, together with her son Enrique Fernandez of FMF Development Corporation.
