| Steelers win the Superbowl! |
| 2-6-06 Detroit MI-On Sunday night the Pittsburgh Steelers went head to head with the Seattle Seahawks. The Steelers would eventually win 21-10. Amazingly in Pittsburgh, there were no reports of rioting or violence. The win for the steelers was more special in that RB Jerome Bettis was marking this as his last game...what a way to go out. | saying..."I played this game to win the championship," he said, breaking into the trademark Bettis grin. "I'm a champion and I think The Bus' last stop is here in Detroit." Bettis did most of his playing in the 2nd half of the game. Bettis finished the final game of his carrer, with 43 yards & 14 carries. Certainly Jerome Bettis & the other Pittsburgh Steelers teammates will never forget this night. |
