With the holidays quickly approaching, many people in the United States -young and old- will be starting a variety of chariety work - from volunteering at soup kitchens to participating in canned food drives to feed the homeless. But what about the rest of the year? And other age groups? And the rest of the world?
Gishwhes was started by Misha Collins, a Canadian actor and head of the organization, Random Acts. It's aimed towards teenagers and young adults but everyone is encouraged to participate. By everyone I mean EVERYONE. This year more people from more countries around the world participated than ever before. Many countries represented in this past year include:
