The Gordons o' Girnoc
Mary married Joseph HUNTER, son of George HUNTER & Anne GAUL. Her husband Joseph died in Park near Ballogie House (Usual Residence was Craigmore, Birse) on the 19th of February 1885, he was 68.
Mary Gordon and Joseph Hunter had the following children:

On the 1st of June 1845 when Jane was 25, she married David COUTTS, son of William COUTTS & Joyce Jessie GRANT, in Birse. Her husband David Coutts died at 36 Hartington Road, Aberdeen on the 22nd of June 1901, he was 80.
Jane Gordon and David Coutts had the following children:

4. Mary Anne Avis (1855-1936) - twin.
5. Gordon Alexander (1855-1886) - twin.
Alexander THOMSON was born on the 26th February 1817 in Aboyne. Alexander died in Marywell Cottage, Birse on September 16, 1873, he was 56. Occupation: Servant at Birkenhall, later Pauper & Agricultural Labourer.
On December 5, 1841 when Alexander was 24, he married Margaret GORDON, daughter of Peter GORDON & Margaret McPHERSON, in Birse.
Margaret Gordon and Alexander Thomson had the following children:
1. Alexander. Born on October 26, 1842 in Birse. Alexander married Isabella. Born approx 1855 in Birse.
2. Helen. Born on December 12, 1844 in Birse.
3. Sarah (1846-)
4. Mary. Born on September 9, 1849 in Marywell, Birse.
5. James. Born on July 29, 1853 in Quithol, Birse. Occupation: Underkeeper.
6. Margaret. Born on June 25, 1855 in Birse.
7. Jane. Born on July 27, 1860 in Birse. Occupation: Domestic Cook at Hawkhill, Peterculter for the Rust family (architect).
