I've never felt so uncomfortable driving down the 401 towards Toronto in all of my life. What was the cause of all this discomfort you ask? Well I don't know about you but I tend to find it a bit disarming when a crazy looking "hoboish" style man presses his hideous face to the passenger side of a broken down kidnappers van while driving down a highway. And if that alone sounds a bit unnerving, perhaps now you could imagine the crazy van man to be the owner of a very special little googily smile, which he charitably shares with you for fourty five minuites...solid. So if everyone wouldn't mind I would just like to take this moment to say...Creepy van Man, where ever you are (and I hope its far, far away from me). Stop staring into girls cars with that crazy slackjawed smile on your face...cause its not hot...its creepy very creepy, and will probably be the base for all of my nightmares for the next few months. Feeeeuuuwwww....Okay I feel better now...alright on to the hunt shall we?
So I know what your thinking...what's with all the bar's ladies? The Werx and now the Looking Glass...do we maybe have a problem here? Naw don't worry, no problems here. We dont have time to go bar hopping there are too many ghosts to be found. *Add the sappy afterschool special music here* The Looking Glass used to belong to the Simpson Family. No not The Simpsons, Simpson/Sears the department store. The manor is home to many winding stair cases, high cielings and a ghost to call their very own, the infamous Sarah Simpson.
On October 23rd 2003, the Girly Ghostbusters geared up and headed out for some Alice and Wonderland ghostly action at Toronto's The Looking Glass.

Sarah Simpson was the 18 year old daughter of the Simpson family, and spent most of her days wandering the many halls and rooms of the Simpson Manor. As the story goes, Sarah was engaged to wed but on the day of the wedding her husband to be pulled out and left her at the alter. Saddened and distraught, Sarah climbed the very staircase in the picture above, and hung herself from a beam in the attic.
When we finally arived in Toronto (already creeped out cause of Creepy Van Man) we parked the car in an underground parking lot and headed up Church St towards the massive Manor. The first thing you notice is it's huge double Widow's peaks, which everyone knows the story was used by women watching to see if there husbands or son's would come home from the war. The detail on the out side of the house is amazing and we were surprised to see that it carried right on inside of the house. After being asked "Whooo are Yoouuu?"...get it...Alice in wonderland...you know the little smoking guy...ah forget it. We where taken to the middle floor where we sat down with the owner of the Bar (Heather Mackenzie) and conducted our interview. She explained that Sarah had been haunting the bar for years and her spirit had been felt and seen by many people working and visiting the bar.

The Ghost of Sarah Simpson has on many occasions been spotted as a woman walking the many floors in a red dress. The first sighting of Sarah was by Heather, who saw a woman in a red dress on the main level of the house. Heather was alone at the time and when she went to see who it was, there was no one there. Strangly enough Sarah has lately been spotted taking on the face of Heather but wearing the same red dress. Heather believes that there is the possability that she and Sarah could be related. Sarah has been known to act up on Mothers Day and Halloween. Last Halloween for instance Heather was in her office which is now the attic (where Sarah killed herself) when she began hearing someone walking up and down the stairs. She knew that she was there alone and called out for Sarah to stop and amazingly...she did.
