| Friday, October 17, 2003 Sixth Week This week was definitely the beginning of morning sickness. Monday, as I said before, was horrible...Tuesday, I experienced nausea while reading Gatsby, and pretty much every day this week, I've had it sneak up on me throughout the course of the day. (No vomiting yet, just that horrible nausea.) I'm already tired of Sprite. Let me tell you that. Every time I take a sip of it, it reminds me of being a sick kid---laid up on the scratchy brown plaid couch on Pecan Tree Drive in the eighties. I need to just drink more water and less of these caffeine free drinks. The tiredness is still with me. I keep reading (and hearing) that this will pass...I feel like I'm such a party pooper when it comes to being fun in the evenings...All I want to do is sleep on the couch and watch Dateline or my other NBC stand-bys. Here are some names we are already tossing about for the bebe: If it's a boy (and the last nine out of ten births have been boys, report his parents): Jonah, Luke (or Lucas), Thomas, Hayden, Caleb, Aidan, Cade/Kade, Alexander, Bennett, Jesse, Nicholas, Daniel, and Chris is pulling for Jacob, even though there will be a million Jacobs. :) Owen was in consideration, but we tossed it. I liked Ian, but Chris didn't. Maybe we'll throw in a family name as a middle name---like Lewis or Thomas. If it's a girl (I highly doubt it, but let's do a list anyway!) Haley (Chris really likes this--and he likes it spelled like Haley Center, but I like it as Hayley. I like the two Ys. Hannah is a fave. Abigail Grace is one Chris came up with and I like it too. I liked Storey, but he nixed it. We like Madeline, Drew, Aubrey, Addison, and Emma. How do people ever settle on a name??? We have quite a bit more time to go, so I guess we'll figure it out. In other news, people keep telling me horror stories about labor (already!) I wish they wouldn't do that.... last next |
