Going into 20 weeks preg! I'm halfway there already!! This is going by quickly!

I'll be honest with you---knowing what a "big boned/big gal" I was as a teenager and even in the past ten years, I am extremely surprised I am not bigger at 20 weeks. (Watch what karma has in store for me now--bet I'll pop out overnight now.)  I am still wearing my regular size 12 jeans (however, you need to remember I went from size 8 to size 12 since mid September). I am happy that I am not a huge rolly-polly yet--thought that would immediately happen to me--yet another pregnancy mystery.  Of course, part of me worries that I am not that big yet--is there something wrong? I ask myself. Is this normal??? I feel that my stomach isn't even as big as it was in the last 17 week photo.  Like that night I was simply that big because of a large meal and snacking over the holidays.  I DO have a pooch, but I can hide it very well. I am looking forward to the day when the "man on the street" can take one look at me and know I'm pregnant. I'm sure that won't be long...

Jas came by yesterday with Gavin and I took some pictures.  I'll have them up on the reg. website before long. He's looking more like Jasmine, but when he scrunches up his face, he looks very Matt-like! :)

      What's going on with baby:
Different books tell me different things about its length---it ranges from the baby being six inches to almost ten!  That's hard to imagine. The sources also tell me I may be starting to notice sleep cycles with the baby. That's true---I can feel little boo moving around the most around the time NBC news comes on (dinner time--imagine!), when I'm resting on the couch.
Vernix is covering the baby now---it's a waxy substance to protects the skin from all the stuff in the placenta.

I'm being interrupted by pee episodes during the night now---and when I try to get up, I have to put extra effort into it because there is definitely additional weight/pressure there that I have to take into account.  Chris has even started giving me a helpful push on those nights where I'm having trouble--(it hurts to "force" getting up too quickly because it squeezes, um, my bladder, or something...make sense?).
Hey, right now, I can feel the baby moving--I feel the most movement on my left side most of the time...it's neat.

        Until next time...
