| HERE IS THE ONE SPECIAL THING THESE TROOPS DID IN THE 2002-2003 YEAR. TROOP 1736 They designed, created and installed a bulletin board on the 6th floor playroom of Mary Bridge Children's Hospital. They updated the bulletin board six times this year, in keeping with the seasons. The girls learned about Mary Bridge Children's Hospital (got a tour of the hospital), visited with the children there. The girls learned about the challenge of coming up with an idea for the bulletin board that was both inexpensive and not to time consuming but still have an appealing message. This was both an interesting challenge and a rewarding experience. This troop became a Senior Troop at the end of the 2002-03 year. TROOP 1865 They went to Seattle for the weekend and took the training class "World Travel 101" to get ready for the trip to Europe they are planning. While in Seattle they stayed at the Hostel International-Seattle. They played tourist in Seattle. They learned how to pack using one bag, how to use public transportation and about shopping with a limited about of money and places to shop. To finish the trip they went to the EMP (Got a great discount from the Hostel) and had a great time. It was a fun trip and everyone had a great time. These two troops also helped with the following service unit events: Juliette Low Birthday (1736 and 1865), Cookie Rally (1736 and 1865), Thinking Day (1865), and Junior Badge Day (1865). |

| "IF" If you've taken responsibility for planning activities and goals; If you have good troop government, Court of Honor and active patrols, If you've joined in intertroop events and taught skills to younger scouts; If you've joined in detailed planning for several overnight campouts; If you've looked for opportunities Counci-Wide or across the USA; Then Senior Girl Scouting for you, Cadette, is not too far away. |
