SILVER AWARD PROJECTS
The Silver Award is the highest award a Cadette Girl Scout can earn.  Here is a list of girls from Service Unit 37 who have earned this award.  These girls have worked hard to earn their Silver Award and they should be proud of themselves.
Sarah K. from Troop 1736 earned her Silver Award in July 2002 by helping the girls at Dash Point Day Camp make musical instruments.  The girls put on a musical concert on the last day of camp with the instruments they made.
Monika H. from Troop 1865 earned her Silver Award in September 2002 by collecting gently used sports equipment for foster children in the Puget Sound Region.  She donated the equipment collected to Treehouse.  Treehouse is an organization that serves many of the foster children in the region.  To learn more about Treehouse and the work they do go to www.treehouse4kids.org.
Katie D. and Sam B. from Troop 1865 earned their Silver Award in April 2003 by putting together "Little Leader Helper" books over the course of this past scouting year.  They handed out a different section of the book at each leaders meeting this year.  They did a GREAT job with the books and gave leaders a wonderful resource.
Leslie H. from Troop 1865 earned her Silver Award in August 2003 by putting together an interactive outdoor cooking station at Family Fest.  She showed people how to cook using different methods.  Her station was set up by the Girl Scout recruitment booth so we were also able to get new names of girls interested in Scouting.  The girls got to see that we are more than just selling Cookies.  Great Job Leslie.
