Jim Bob's Landscaping

The purpose behind this website was to create a business website for my Unlce Jim Bob's landscaping business. I believe I met my goals by completing all the required pages: Home, Gallery, About, Contact Us, and Testimonials. These pages provide a ton of information about my uncle's business and help the customers make a decision on wether or not to use my uncle to service their yards. I created a CSS page to control all the settings from the background image to the text size and weight. I also created a nice header that followed the customers from page to page, a footer that did not float on top of text but sat nicely on the bottom inside the box. I made the image so that the text was readable and easily understood. I also created a successful contact form that emails the company with the messages and information.

I used the black font so it would appear easily readable on the blue sky background. The origional image actually stretched further into the grass area and made the text hard to read. I edited the image in MS Paint to remove most of the grass keeping the text in the sky area. I used a simple font that should be present on all browsers and operating systems. I changed the color of the links when hovered over so people can tell the difference between a link and regular text. I used several images of landscaped homes I found on free to use websites to avoid copyright infrindgement. Overall I believe the page came together nicely and looks really professional.

In the future I would like to change the contact form submission from opening the user's email to simply sending fromt he internal webpage to the target email address. I know this can be accomplished I just was running short on time to implement it fully. I would like to add more testimonials and maybe even give the user an ability to submit their own testimonial directly to the webpage. This is after the testimonial is approved by the company.
