Hidden

A solitary Daisy lays hidden
By a massive Stone Wall
Insurpassable by even the bravest mortal

Protected from rough winds and crushing feet
The Daisy lives a safe, lonely life

And the Stone Wall shelters the Daisy
From ever having her lovely, soft petals
Crushed again

Confusion

Take a walk with me
From the Blackest night
Into the Brightest morning
And I will show you
The gray haze that surrounds everything
Searching

She tries to smile to hide the Pain
The Hurt she can't bear

Always searching
For a pair of Love-Filled eyes
That she has yet to find

Anger

Love manifests itself as hate
Feelings are crushed
Until they are unrecognizable
And Anger lashes out
Hoping to quench the fire
Of Love turned Evil
Love Unfound

A sound in the distant air
A faint heartbeat
Beating just for you
Awaiting your approach
And longing for your embrace
Would you be

Would you be my rock?
Steadfast in times of trouble
Never quavering
Never showing weakness
Never Leaving
Would you be?
Mountains

Too tired to climb mountains
For all the days of her life
Hills would be better
But are never found
So steep mountains are transversed
Since there is no way to go around

Trapped

Trapped in a Box
Fingers clawing at the sides
Suddenly tipped upside-down
No escape
Darkness envelops you
And things are quiet for a time
The only sound a single, scared heartbeat

Ice Blue Eyes

Beautiful eyes stare back
Flecks of gold to be found deep inside

Windows to the heart
Tell of never forgotten hurt
And a love that was lost to the world
Forever

Tick Tock

Waiting gets you nowhere
Tick Tock of the Clock
As your life passes by
In blinks, smiles, and tears

A journey of a Thousand Years
Would never be enough time
To escape from the eternal tick tock
Of your own private clock
Silence

Please don't say It
I can't bear to hear it
Only happy melodies
Are allowed to sing to my ears
But far too often
The discordant notes
Rise above the rest and penetrate my heart
Playing their sad song
Of love left behind

Moonlight

A Blue Moon
Shines brightly on the clear water

Lights the way
For the stargazing lovers

Gives the dreamer hope
For a better tomorrow

And watches over
The children as they dream

Blossom

Watch for the smallest flower to open
Shy and unassuming
Waiting to be gazed upon
By people seeking its endless Beauty
Tears

Tears fall upward
Toward the forgotten heroes
Who left too soon

They sit above in beauty
Smiling on the world
As they collect the salty tears
And throw them back to Earth
As Rainbows
