It's a Vicious Circle

Darrin is a 7 year old boy who hangs on his father, Jacks', every word.
Jack is a family man who works at the local meat factory.
It's hard work but he makes a fair income.

On Saturdays, Jack enjoys doing the weekly shopping for his family.
On one of Jack's shopping days he notices that the prices are rather costly,
especially for the meats.
When Jack gets home he tells his wife and son this
and she suggests he go to work and ask for a raise to meet the cost increases.
Darrin says, "Go for it Dad!"

The next day at lunch, Jack tells his buddies about the rising costs.
They say they've noticed it too.
Jack says he's going to ask for a raise.
His buddies agree.
They too, will ask for a raise.
So all the employees of the meat factory ask for a raise.
The factory boss says he'll think about it.

That weekend Jack has a family-friend get-together
and relates the same comments about the increase in costs.
Anyone who was listening agreed, they too have noticed the high cost of things.

On Monday, when Jack returns to work,
Jack's boss has agreed to give all the employees a raise the following week.

About a 2 month goes by.

One Saturday Jack goes shopping and notices that the prices are rather costly,
especially for the meats.
When Jack gets home he tells his wife and son this
and she suggests he go to work and ask for a raise to meet the cost increases.
Darrin scratches his head and says nothing.

Darrin scratches his head and says" Mom, Dad, it's vicious circle."
