| AUTOMOTIVE SERVICE TECHNOLOGY ASE (A Career Cluster Program) The automotive technology program is designed to provide training and experience in the principles of automotive diagnosis and repair. Areas of study include: braking systems, electrical and electronic systems, engine performance, air conditioning, suspension and steering. Students will learn both basic and advanced technical skills and essential worker traits to secure and retain employment in the automotive and related fields. The automotive technology program is an ASE NATEF certified course recognized nationally for its excellence. We operate a shop environment with an on-the-job atmosphere. Automotive Service Technology students are expected to participate in the trade and industrial student organization, SKILLS USA/VICA. A senior who completes the sequence of courses in Automotive Service Technology will receive five (5) credits and a VOCATIONAL COMPLETER CERTIFICATE with area(s) of demonstrated competency specified.
