GHS gives the SAT in October, January, and May each school year.

Tips & Things that we do in the guidance office.
You can have us send your official transcript to another school or agency by faxing or mailing us a letter requesting that records be sent. You should include the following information: your name, birthdate, social security number, year of graduation, name and address of where you want the transcript sent, and a phone number where we can reach you if we have a problem with your request. Your request must be signed.

We sponsor two clubs, College Bound (10th, 11th, & 12th grade) and Career Club (9th - 12th grade). We organize two service groups, Kidz-4-Kidz and Students-In-Industry. We also coordinate meetings for the Virginia Tech Talent Search/Upward Bound and WCC Upward Bound. We organize activites for students and parents to participate in throughout the year: Financial Aid Workshops for Jr's & Sr's, The Reality Store for 8th graders, 7th grade Orientation and Getting Ready for College for Sr's.
