| When people talk about "The things that dreams are made of", they may not realize how accurate that statement really is. Back in the mid to late 1800's, a not so well respected man made the comment that "Dreams are nothing more than our inner selves at work in the dark." Back then, nobody wanted to hear that, they did not want to think on such things as a person actually being able to "conjur" up dreams and live them out until they became nightmares. They could not differentiate the fact that dreams and nightmares were the same thing, just acted out differently in our sub conscience. This same man made the statement that bad dreams are our fears coming out of the dark realms of our minds and out into the light of reality. This man was later hanged as a practicing male witch, he died in 1892 and his words, if you listen, are something to make you wonder. Nobody can analyze another's dreams without understanding how that other person's mind truly works. Nightmares are scary regardless of where they come from, but they are, like it or not, a part of us and who we are. |
| Halloween Charm Bags ---------------------------------- Some people feel better going to sleep at night or around Halloween if they have "something" to protect them and ward off the evil spirits. So here is an idea that might help you keep the demons at bay this Halloween, and if your'e real lucky, help you sleep a little easier too! 7 Pumpkin seeds 1/4 teaspoon dried mint 1/4 teaspoon cinnamon 1/4 teaspoon dried ground pumpkin rind 1 silver coin 1 small orange flannel bag 1 Black felt marker On the new moon before Halloween, mix the herbal ingredients together, draw a dollar sign on both sides of each pumpkin seed with black felt marker. Add pumpkin seeds to mixture and pour into orange bag. Hold the coin in your hands until it is warm, then drop into the bag and tie it up. On the following Thursday, hold the bag in your hands and say this little chat; East and West, South and North, Prosperity I bring thee forth Say this until the bag becomes warm in your hands, add seven knots to the ribbon around the bag, one is for beginnings, two for money, three for abundance, four for stability, five for protection, six for luck, and the seventh to seal the spell. Put the bag in a special place until Halloween Night, then hold the bag in your hands until the bag warms and you feel good inside. Let me add this; I have a few friends who are "Wiccans". I do not follow nor do I practice it, but I deny no-one the right to practice what they believe in or feel. I do not endorse these chants or these spells, but let me say this. I believe in God, and I have seen some amazing things, I alos believe that there are times things happen that we just cannot expalin, and that I have found no evil or bad in any of the things my Wiccan friends have done or said. I judge no-one because quite simply...... That isnt my job. |
