| What are Ghosts? ------------------------------------- Do they fear us here in the living world? In our world today, accidents, suicides, murders and wrongful deaths give way to the human imagination. --------------------------------------------------------- The Paleopagan belief that human souls get trapped in the bodies of animals gave rise to the early Christian belief that the dead could inahbit animals and eventually other humans as well. -------------------------------------------------------------------- I believe in God, but Christianity leaves something to be desired even for me. Their twisted beliefs about the dead inhabiting the bodies of animals or other humans gave way to the infamous "possesion" theroy, which to me has yet to be proven. ------------------------------------------------------- The word Ghost as well as "guest" find their roots in the Germanic "geist", which originally meant "spirit of a dead ancestor" who was invited to tribal celebrations such as Samhain and other solemn events. |

| With all of the "new age" riggamarole going around, would it be so difficult to convince one's self that Ghosts not only exist.....but dream? ------------------------------------------------- Or is it more possible that they invade our dreams?
