T.A.P. January Newsletter

Happy New Year!!!

We hope you all had a wonderful and relaxing vacation. We are ready to get back to dance and are looking forward to a wonderful 2002. In the spirit of the New Year we have come up with some resolutions:

T.A.P.'s Resolutions:

  1. To make sure that each and every dancer who enters our doors feels special.
  2. To instill the love of dancing and performing in each student.
  3. To teach dance skills through positive discipline and nuturing instruction.
  4. To give as many hugs as possible through-out the year.

    Thanks and Congrats!

Thank you to all of the wonderful parents who helped out at the Winter Recital. We appreciate you so much and can't tell you how much your help and dedication made such a huge difference.
Congratulations to all of the performers at the Winter Recital. You were so much fun to watch and we are so proud of how well you performed!

New Schedule!

There are some schedule changes coming up for the new year. We will offer some new classes so check out our new schedule available now.

Welcome to our New Teachers!

Angela Ashe: Ballet/Tap, Jr. Hip-Hop. Angela comes to us from Tricks and was recently a dancer on the ARC Dance Team.
Jay Strickland: Hip-Hop
Jay has been in several music videos with Usher and Michael Jackson. Jay performs and competes with a local Hip-Hop group.
Toni Tinker: Ballet/Tap, Broadway Kids
Toni has an A.A. in Dance from Consumnes River College and was the Assistant Director for the Linda Tregle International Dance Company in Stockton.

Important Note

Hour long classes started running on December 1st. 45 minute classes (including Jr. Hip-Hop, Broadway Kids and Ballet/Tap 3-5) will stay the same.
We are doing this in lieu of a tuition increase to better communicate with parents and students.

Wizard of Oz

There are still a small amount of spots left in the Wizard of Oz. Rehersals begin on Tuesday January 8th from 5:30-7:30. The cost is $50.00 per month. Show dates are the first weekend in May. See Ms. Melissa or Ms. Kelly for more info.

Website News

The website is not quite ready yet. The website is scheduled to go online the second week of February.

Student of the Month:
Sophia Faszer

Sophia has been with us for nearly a year now. Sophia is a member of the All-Stars3 performance company. She consistently has a good attitude, gives great effort, and is friendly to others in her classes. Her attendance is good and she dresses appropriately to every class. Sophia has shown so much improvement recently, as well as a great enthusiasm for dance. That is why we chose her for The Academy Performer's first student of the month!
