GEOCITIES TIPS FOR INTERMEDIATES
So, you've actually got your site up.  Good for you.  Now, some tips.  Actually, I dont' even consider myself an Intermediate yet, I'm still learning my shiz.  Anyways, here goes.

1.  Cutting, pasting, and copying within Pagebuilder is best done with Ctrl X (cut), Ctrl C (copy), and Ctrl V (paste).  You'll notice it's the ONLY way to cut, copy, or paste within Pagebuilder.  You can cut from one text box and paste into another directly with no problem.  The different part is if you want to paste something from outside Pagebuilder.  If you copy something from, let's say another web page, and you want to paste it into a text box, first make your text box or click on the one you want it to paste into.  Then click on the small Clipboard icon at the top of your Pagebuilder window, the far right icon on the bottom.  It's under Link.  This is where you can paste your stuff, then click on Paste to enter it into your text box.

2.  You cannot upload fonts through Pagebuilder.  Sucks, huh?

3.  The insert function has a lot of useful stuff.  Test them out on a test page.

4.  You can link things to a file.  For example, thumbnailing.  You have a smaller picture which you link to the bigger picture's file.  Just click on Link, then change the "Web URL" to "My File."  You can also link to an e-mail address.

5.  If you want to put up a background, best to use a wallpaper 1024x820 size or something like that.  Then go to Format>Background and just use the pic!

6.  Background Music, best to use midi files.  You can find them online easily, just use a search engine such as Yahoo or Google and type the name, artist of the song you want and put in midi after it.  Almost every song has a midi version.  Midi's are best used because they're a lot smaller than mp3's which use up a ton of space.  You only have 12 megs to use on your site.  That's like 4 mp3's.  When you have the midi ready and uploaded, go to Insert>Basics>Background Music.
