FEBRUARY (Second half) to March 2009
Nikolas and Emily met to discuss custody of Lila. Nikolas made it clear that he wanted Connor away from his daughter but Emily was firm on the fact that she was with Connor causing Nikolas to file for full custody. Emily later made it clear to Connor that she needed him and that if Jason couldn’t help them – they would run away.
With Talon’s help, Vaughn began to unravel the mess that had caused him to be on the run from the law in the first place. Talon felt the need to get help from Taggert in the matter.
Fancy sought comfort from Sage, confessing to her that she was scared of being pregnant. Her sister assured her that Zander would be over the moon based on the relationship he had with Cameron.
Allyson comforted DeMarco the best she could when he realized just what his biological parents had done while living. DeMarco began to fear that he would just like his father. The next day Allyson tearfully recounted her story to Ric. Her brother assumed that Ric was hurting Allyson and tried to attack him but was soon put in his place. She later called their sister, Carleigh, and discovered that she too was on her way to Port Charles!
Wyatt and Mia ended up stuck in an elevator together. They began to talk – and Wyatt realized that she didn’t know she was the daughter of Trevor Lansing. He also was surprised that she claimed to the lover of Gustavo Giovanni.
Tracy made peace with Dillon and told him that she not only loved him dearly but would be there when he got married. Dillon was shocked but grateful for his mother’s apparent change of heart.
Billie convinced her superior Christian not to take her off the case despite her personal connection to Giovanni. Christian wondered if he would regret it and later warned Cooper Barrett of the dangers he could be getting into.
Claudia realized that she was walking a fine line when her father suddenly showed up and was revealed to be working with Giovanni. She knew that her father would never want her running any mob organization and wondered what he would do to stop her.
When it became apparent that Todd was not going to listen to Jessica, Tess emerged to ruffle her uncle’s feathers – and alert him that something was going on. To get a little revenge, Tess suggested that Tea use the newly returned Marty in to help in her case against Todd. Later Tess ran into Roman and once again railed against him and admitted his father’s part in her creation. Roman was able to coax Jessica out.
Greenlee came face to face with Leonardo, whom she instantly sparred with. Thankfully she fared better with Kate Howard.
Steven vented on Lainey about his relationship with Gia. Lainey later met with Alexandra and the two were able to discover that Faison may have possibly stolen another one of Anna’s children. She decided to go to Colin for help.
Javier checked in with his family back in Port Charles via his sister Katia. She instructed him to not give up on his relationship with Keesha no matter how angry she was. With that in mind, Javier and Keesha finally agreed on something – their daughter would be named Carmen. They then went on a shopping spree for their baby in hopes of further mending fences.
Penny finally tearfully recounted her assault at the hands of Zane to Diego. A furious Diego vowed to get rid of Zane once and for all – and Penny agreed that something should be done to stop him.
Luis and Catalina discussed their lives at the moment, and Catalina realizing that her brother was in the dumps a bit attempted to cheer him up with the thought of blowing something up.
Noah discovered that there was pressure building up on Chloe’s brain leading to her confusion over the events of the Black and White Ball. He recommended surgery and Michael found himself waiting around to see if she was going to be okay. The surgery went off without a hitch and Melody was sent to recovery.
Alexis and Elizabeth discussed the pros and cons of being married to Ric before visiting Zander. Alexis left to speak with Lorenzo, telling exactly why she had upset Eden – and reaffirming her belief that Luis had raped Kristina.
While visiting Zander, Elizabeth saw Jason and wanted very badly to go to him but resisted. Jason too was longing for Elizabeth but left to speak to Sam, who assumed that she would be coming home. When Jason told her he wanted to stay at the Quartermaines, Sam finally had enough and informed Jason that if Giovanni wanted her so badly he would get her there anyway and declared that she was moving out – of both the Q house and the penthouse!
Durant began to hunt down Vaughn, informing Jax and Courtney that he had been the one to kill Vince and passing out flyers. Vaughn continued to reach out for help, this time to the overworked Ric who informed him he needed more proof of his idea that Mia had been behind the blackmail before he put his neck on the line. Determined to stay free, Vaughn began to take advice…from his dead brother!
The Scorpio family gathered to watch over little Xavier. In the fight that ensued, Georgie revealed that she was pregnant with Palmer’s baby causing Maxie to admit she had been sleeping with her sister’s boyfriend. She left with Jeremy to work out some of her frustrations at hurting her family, while Mac and Dorian did their best to calm Georgie.
Marisol was stunned with Devin called her and promised to hand over Nate to her that very night. She went home to wait only to be visited by Victor who did his best to keep her grounded as she waited – the two discussed business and before she knew it she had roped him into taking on part of the new hotel she and AJ were planning.
After they were freed from the elevator, Mia persuaded Wyatt to take her to Giovanni’s. He only agreed to go to keep her safe and did his best to try and tell her that Ian and Gustavo were not the same man and if she expected a romantic reunion she would be sorry.
Reese and Bianca discussed her newest project of Wyndamere before going to visit Kendall in the hospital. They were surprised to find her awake and yearning for her sons.
Athena spoke with both Monica and Alan on becoming the attorney for the hospital matters, and quickly found herself at a bit of a disadvantage when Monica revealed that her cousin, Sonny, had done significant damage to their family.
Sage and Fancy’s mother was on her way to Port Charles and she was not alone – with her was their cousin Belle, whom had been placed in Eva’s care. Needing to step out on her own, Eva planned to dump Belle off on her daughters.
Kaylen was surprised to find Jonathan by her bedside when she awoke from the events of the Black and White Ball. She quickly remembered that they were about to kiss and questioned if he only wanted to kiss her because their lives had been in danger.
Nadine and Lexie found common ground as they ranted about men and then decided to have a few drinks at Jake’s. It soon became clear that they were well on their way to becoming sloshed – and perhaps willing to strip dance on the bar!
Grace had supper with her big brother Paul and told him all about her relationship with Derek. She also discovered that Paul had been acting as a secret admirer (to Big Alice) but was unsure if he could reveal himself. Grace told him that he was a lovable kind man and any girl would be lucky to have him.
Gia continued to watch over her sister while she tracked down Jared’s cousin. She had to inform Denny Duquette of Jared’s death. Denny immediately came to town to clean up his cousin’s affairs and Gia was taken aback at how much he looked like Jared!
From her safe haven out of town, Helena called Alexandros and informed him that his very last task was to make sure that Allegra Halliday went into labour at the same time as Eden – and then to switch the babies!
Eden found herself unable to sleep and decided to go and confront Luis on what exactly happened between he and Kristina.
Kristina pondered her options as she convinced Jax to take her to his place for awhile. Jax wanted her to reconsider the abortion and even offered to raise the child as his own.
Surrounded by friends and family, Bobbie and Frisco and Lucas and Guy prepared to get married in the General Hospital Chapel.
FEBRUARY 2009 (First half)
- Roman and Jessica shared their first kiss as they continued to talk. Roman apologized and Jessica quickly exited…both realized they were confused as to where their relationship was going.
-Night turned into day as General Hospital continued to do what it could for the injured. Roz ended up having to perform a simple surgery on Ken to inflate his lung, while Robin worked to figure out why Zander kept passing out AND contemplated that Fancy may be pregnant. Many were allowed to leave after being treated for simple injuries.
-Maxie awoke excited for her new job and immediately called Sam who was not happy to have spent the night at the Quartermaines. After all she and Jason had spoke on the docks and realized that life was too short and that Sam couldn’t be locked away in an ivory tower forever. She had expected to be back in her home as soon as possible. However, Maxie helped her focus on her job.
- Wyatt called Claudia and demanded to know what was going on between she and the Giovanni’s. She promised to explain everything to him and agreed to meet at the hospital. As she made her way there with Gianni to visit Billie both reflected on the fact that they had become close with a Federal agent.
- Emily and Connor spent the night together…further throwing caution to the wind and realizing that they needed to be with each other despite the consequences.
- Ric received a surprise when the FBI contacted him to let him know that Allyson Meyers was alive and that she could help identify the Ghost. He immediately began to work on convincing her to come back to Port Charles (despite an interruption by Durant) and was glad when she agreed.
- Kristina explained to her sisters that Helena was behind her miraculous recovery and that she had assumed that Alexis hated her. Both Eden and Alexis realized that Kristina’s mind had been tampered with. But they were in for a bigger surprise when they discovered that Kristina was pregnant…and Luis Alcazar was the father. Kristina told her sisters that she was going to have an abortion and asked them to leave her be.
- Eden and Alexis didn’t get very far before Alexis exploded with rage over what Luis had done to Kristina. She immediately pegged him as a rapist and when Eden came to his defense (hoping to convince Alexis not to jump to conclusions), Alexis had some harsh words for her sister…including that she was more Alcazar than Cassadine and calling her baby a spawn!
- Mark Sloane arrived in town having followed his good friend Derek to a position at General Hospital. He was surprised when he came face to face with Zoey, whom he labeled an Izzie look-a-like. He tried his best to charm her but she called him on his womanizing behavior – and somehow he still managed to get her agree to take him on a tour of Port Charles.
- Dillon and Lulu sat down to finalize the last few details of their wedding, while Luke and Edward met to discuss the up coming nuptials and what role they could play. Lulu managed to convince Dillon to invite his family and as if she had overheard them – Tracy arrived to speak with her son.
-Javier and Keesha managed to have a civil meal together before he decided to move in with her to keep her safe until they could go back to Port Charles. The tension was there as neither of them wanted to discuss custody arrangements for the baby.
- Catalina left the docks in search of one person – Zane Fox, who is not only her husband but Javier Ruiz. Not even her family is aware of their connection.
- Mia sought out Spinelli to help her find information on her ‘boyfriend’ Ian. She was horrified to discover that he didn’t really exit and then went to Wyatt demanding to know more about Gustavo Giovanni.
- The FBI decided to send in an agent to pick up the mob case while Billie recovered. As she was talking with Cooper Barrett about taking out Giovanni, Agent Christian Anderson entered the room. It was obvious that she was not happy about his intrusion into her case.
- Leonardo (a.k.a Leo Dupres) came face to face with a blast from the past when he and Greenlee got into an accident. He recognized her immediately but said nothing while she was left to wonder about the stranger who seemed familiar. Later they went their separate ways – she to speak to Kate and he to speak to Brenda.
- AJ called Marisol to speak to her about starting up a new hotel to compete with the Metrocourt, promising her a diversion from worrying about Nate. Although she felt guilty, she knew that if she sat around and waited any longer she would go crazy.
- Devin stayed true to his word of taking matters into his own hands and purchased a gun. He came face to face with V on the docks and did his best to hide his intentions while he raged against the WSB for doing nothing to find his son.
- Carlos was surprised to get a call from Gustavo, who offered him a deal: Nate for Carlos’ alliance with him to take down Corinthos. Carlos agreed.
- Mac arrived home to find that Xavier had been taken to the hospital. He quickly found Felicia and was told that Xavier was very sick. Felicia blamed herself and Mac did his best to convince her that it wasn’t her fault and assured her that he would do anything to make sure Xavier lived.
- Gia took Tasha home and settled her into her bed. While Tasha slept, Gia located Jared’s last living relative and was about to call him with Tasha awoke wanting her sister. Gia did her best to comfort her.
- Beckett and Talon searched for any clues of James’ whereabouts not knowing that the man had escaped and was on his way to Florida via boat with the Ice Princess.
- Caleb decided to set things in motion to divorce Tia. He discovered that she had gotten a hold of some evidence that implicated him in a murder and was threatening to turn him in unless she gave him some of her stock. He had no choice but to agree and promised her that he would pay her back for everything she had done to him.
- Allyson did not want to return to Port Charles. But she felt she had to. After she got off the phone with Ric she called her parents in Florida to tell them she was okay. She also spoke to her adoptive brother and realized that she missed him terribly. She did her best to convince him not to come to Port Charles but eventually gave him. They were reunited at Allyson’s safe house.
- Vaughn finally gave into his blackmailer’s demands and signed a confession to his brother’s murder. He was placed in jail but escaped while Durant held a press conference to announce that the murderer of Vincent Caine was finally off the streets. He contacted Talon to help him get out of this mess.
- Colin found himself reaching out to his father for help when he realized that Daniel was going to take his pursuit of Jenna to another level.
- Alexandros and Livvie were reunited during the Black and White Ball and went back to her home. There Alex apologized for leaving her the way he did and acknowledged that she was a different person now.
- Tierney gave birth to a premature baby girl which she named Kari. She was grateful that so far there seemed to be nothing wrong with her baby despite being born a month and a half early.
- EJ met with Todd who was anxious to start the custody case. EJ warned him that they had to play nice at first in order to reap the reward in the end.
- Jason found himself pouring his heart out to Tea, worried that what he was about to do would ruin everything but knowing that he couldn’t continue to be with Sam, claiming that the man she had loved died the day she made the decision to save his life.
- Nikolas and Stefan went to visit Kristina, where all agreed that Helena needed to be taken care of for her role in Kristina’s personality change.
- Trevor approached his son for a rare favor. He admitted that he had been a lousy father not only to him but to Mia Nelson too. He asked Ric to look after his sister.
- Sage and Luis went to check on Lorenzo who had checked himself out of the hospital. Lorenzo wanted to know about Luis’ involvement in Kristina’s sudden reappearance but before he could get too far he spoke with Diego who was worried about his father. While they talked, Eden watched, not ready to be around Luis – not until she had gotten her jumbled thoughts together.
- Old friends reunited when Tiffany showed up at Luke’s bar hoping to get some insight on her daughter’s life so far in Port Charles as well as Sean’s disappearance.
- Trish went back to work finding a link between Gustavo and the Metrocourt explosion. She immediately called her partner and together they set out hoping to make the link more permanent and use it to bring down the monster.
- Brad and Rachel shared a kiss and realized that there was something between them…something they wanted to explore.
- Bianca and Reese arrived in Port Charles, ready to start a life away from Erica…and Zach. Reese was excited to get started on her first job…redesigning the fractured Wyndamere.
- Realizing that yet another one of her plans blew up in her face, Helena left town but not before writing both Stavros and Victor a note explaining herself.
- DeMarco realized that his biological parents, Vincent Caine and Cheyenne Black, were far from angels.
- Kristina asked Stefan to contact Jax for her, feeling most comfortable with him. Stefan was a little hurt that she was choosing someone other than family but understood her reasoning.
- Jessica pleaded with her uncle not to let what happened between he and Tea turn him into the monster everyone expected him to be.
JANUARY 2009
- Ric and Catalina fought as Alex did her best to help a gravely injured Billie. It was decided that they would need to sneak out to steal a boat to take them back to the mainland. As they were doing so they had to hide from Giovanni, his children, and the Zaccharas who were also attempting to get back to the mainland.
- Wyatt refused to storm the ballroom without backup. He wanted to wait for Johnny but before he could go find his friend, he and Claudia came face to face with Gustavo Giovanni. He seemed pleased to see Claudia and Wyatt wondered if she had made a pact with the devil. Later Johnny joined them and kept mum about what he knew about Billie’s shooting.
- As the hostage crisis continued, Alexis was reunited with her sister. She tearfully hugged her sister while Kristina wondered if what she had been told was true.
- Roman decided to get Tess out of there to protect Jessica. They were aided by Jessica’s aunt, Tia. The pair had a tense conversation but knew that for now they had to get along.
- Sage and Mia seemed a united front against Serena but acknowledged they would need her help to get them back to the mainland. They were about to steal a yacht when Gustavo boarded it causing the three to hide.
- Things in the ball room grew more intense when Melody recognized James. She wondered out loud why her father would do something like this. Not wanting her daughter to feel stigmatized, Holly admitted he was not her father – Robert was. She faced immediate backlash from Robert and Melody.
- The current situation made Caleb and Alison realize that they could waste time anymore and the pair kissed.
- Maxie made her way over to join Jeremy, Sam and Lucky. She and Jeremy sparred yet again and Maxie made it clear that she was not impressed with the situation.
- Walker, Talon, and Beckett decided looked for options to get people out quickly incase things went back. At the same time Jason decided to pull together as many people as he could that he knew could fight. Tea offered to recruit her cousin, Luis and Brad, another guest realized what was going on and offered his services as well.
- Using his disguise as a waiter to his advantage, Connor took Emily from the ballroom and revealed that it was him. Together they made their way out the window.
- Luis discovered that Dawn had a hidden agenda…she wanted to cause Luke Spencer as much pain as she could and she wasn’t above using his children as a pawn in her game. Luis told her very carefully that he would not allow her to harm Talon Spencer because of his connection to Sage.
- Upset at being in close proximity to Colin, Jenna found herself face to face with the man she knew as Lance. Daniel was happy to see that his manipulation had succeeded in driving a wedge between the couple.
- Alexis appealed to James to allow her sister to be taken to safety. James obviously had a weak spot for her and gave into her request. He specified that only one could go with her and Jax volunteered as he could pilot a boat. Alexis was furious and vowed that she would hurt the man who had hurt her sister. Jax carried Kristina just in time to board the same boat as Alex and her crew.
- The hostage crisis reached a climax when a homemade bomb courtesy of Trish and Liam backfired. The two raced to the ballroom to warn people but it went off, causing significant damage and injury to many people. Families raced to find one another and to take care of the wounded. As people poured out of the building, James made his escape and Nikolas knew he would have to rebuild.
- On the yacht, after running into Wyatt, Mia came face to face with Gustavo Giovanni and realized that he was one and the same as Ian, the man she had loved. She began to wonder just what happened…and it was revealed that she had been the one to blackmail Justus, Kate and Vaughn, believing that they had killed Ian.
- The injured poured into the hospital and the staff at GH met it’s newest doctor – Quinn Statton.
- The explosion caused Tierney to go into early labor with Shane by her side.
- In the aftermath of the explosion, Stavros revealed himself to his mother and made it clear that he would be in charge of the family again.
- Roman and Jessica strategized ways to get rid of Tess and find out what happened to her. She suggested that she integrate and pointed out that she would become more like Tess if she did so.
- Alexis and Eden went to visit their sister and Eden was overwhelmed to finally meet Kristina.
