Patricia
"Trish" Brooks was an officer in Pine Valley,
Pennsylvania. She was at the top of her game until she got
pregnant by her boyfriend. Trish found out she was pregnant when she was
about six weeks and was so excited about telling the father, she thought
her life was complete. One night, she was trying to apprehend a perp and
she was shot in the abdomen, her bullet proof
vest not being on seeing as how she was off duty. Trish lived but her
unborn child did not. After this, she
went into a deep depression. Trish started drinking heavily and stopped
going to work for awhile. Being told that she needed therapy by Police
Chief, Derek Frye, Trish attended some
sessions and it seemed like she was making progress, having stopped
drinking and returned to work on a regular basis. One night, while she
was out at a bar, the man who shot her and killed her was also. Trish
stayed incognito until the man went outside to the back to leave and
than followed him, shooting him countless times, letting loose her rage
at what he had done to her.
Not wanting to get caught for the murder, Trish requested a change of
department saying that she needed to leave Pine
Valley to get away from the bad memories she had of living there
and what happened to her. Tough as nails, Trish finds herself being
transferred to the Port Charles police
department as Lucky Spencer's new partner. Has she escaped her
problems or will the sins of her past come back to haunt her?
