Marina Giovanni
Player: Kelly Relationships: Flirting with Ken Marina was born to her mother Natalie when she was 16 years old. Instead of sending her to an adoption agency, Natalie's parents helped her raise her daughter. She never told Marina's father about her, fearing that his involvement in the local mob would endanger her daughter. Natalie struggled to graduate high school and her family encouraged her to go to college. This is where she met fellow student Nico Giovanni. The two dated for a year and then were married. Nico then legally adopted Marina. The year her parents were married, Marina welcomed a younger brother Leo into her family and was thrilled to have a younger sibling. Things were going good for her family. They both graduated and moved to upstate NY from the Bronx. Her mother was a CPA and her father a local businessman. Nico was living a double life that he yet had to tell his family about. He was heavily involved in the mafia. One night while exiting a theater her parents entered their car where it then exploded the police came and she and her brother were separated and sent into child services system back in the Bronx. She went through many
foster homes and was finally thrown permanently back in the system after
one of them discovered sexual abuse had happened. She let the abuse out
in the boxing ring. Needless to say Marina did not fit in the system and
she met Mateo Satiago there her first boyfriend an up and coming
professional thief. She quickly joined his group and by the time she was
16 was a full pledged professional. Mateo was killed on their first job
together professionally falling from a building. She continued her
thieving ways and put herself through college where she acquired her own
business degree in record time and now covers her tracks as an art
dealer, she also is now putting Leo through college. She recently began
looking into her parents past and found out that Nico was working for a
man named Sonny Corinthos; she has come to Port Charles to find out more
about this man and his connection to her parents [Back]
