Juliet grew up believing a lie. After being told that her father died in the military shortly before her first birthday, she recently discovered that was the farthest thing from the truth. What actually happened was that her father walked out on her mother before Juliet was even born. The only reason she even discovered the truth is because her mother died of cancer and Juliet stumbled upon her diary while cleaning out her room. The lie just didn’t stop with her father never having died, but her mother even gave her a fake name. Armed with her father’s first name and mention of a city called ‘Port Charles’, Juliet decides to find out what was so terrible about her father that her mother felt the need to lie to her about it. The fact that she’s a journalist, gives her hope that she can unravel the mystery of her biological father. After quitting her job at a local newspaper in Akron , Ohio , Juliet moves to Port Charles and lands a job as journalist for the Sun.
