Clover Cheryl Donnelly is the daughter of Port Charles legends Sean Donnelly and Tiffany Hill. Growing up with an anchor woman for a mother and the chief of police as a father gave Clover a big drive. If it was from her going for student council or just going after anyone she wanted her parents encouraged her to do the best. Tiffany and Clover never were as close as she was to her father. Clover is a daddy’s girl; she adored her father and he adored her. So when it was revealed that her parents were divorcing Clover instantly blamed her mother. She had good reason Tiffany had been caught in a messy affair with her co-anchor. Tiffany and Sean went through a bitter divorce which ended with Clover and Tiffany moving to California to restart her career as an actress. Sean lost his wife and daughter which pushed him back into the WSB.
Clover and Tiffany relationship still didn’t change in fact it became more strained. Once Tiffany was cast in a soap opera they barely saw each other anymore. This was perfectly fine with Clover because could barely stand her mother. Clover hated the fact that her father couldn’t visit more often and blamed her mother for that. Clover only piece of mind was when she became a mini fashionista she loved to design and create clothing. It’s been a passion of hers to one day work for a major fashion company. One day Tiffany brought home a big suitcase full of clothes for Clover and her to try on so that they could bond. It was then there biggest fight happened. Tiffany accused Clover of not trying to make it work as mother and daughter. Clover snapped that she destroyed there life and now they all have to live with the consequences. Both women attitudes were at an all time high and Tiffany burst out laughing. Confused Clover asked what was her mother laughing at. Tiffany informed her that twenty years ago she sounded just like Clover. For the next few hours Tiffany told Clover about her journey into having her. This included telling her about there country family which Clover knew nothing about. She then told her daughter she was the light of her life. It wasn’t until then that she saw how much her mother did love her. It wasn’t as if she didn’t know but she saw it then. There relationship is still rocky to this day but they get along much better. Sean made sporadic appearances in her life since the divorce and he’s even tried to rekindle his relationship with Tiffany. But she always states to him he knows what he did and why her affair went on. Clover honestly wants to know what went on all those years ago.
When Sean missed her high school graduation both Tiffany and she were pissed. But news spread to them that he was back in Port Charles working on a case. Tiffany knew that Port Charles had changed from her many talks with Felicia. Fearing her ex safety she called Sean. Tiffany got no response so she called Walker who informed her Sean had been missing for three months now. This disturbed both women fearing the worse about Sean. Clover refused to believe her father was missing so she called around Port Charles and found out that Sean was last scene during the virus epidemic with Luke Spencer. Clover has a secret for her mother she’s leaving California to locate her missing father and there’s nothing she can’t do when she puts her mind on it.[Back]
