Carleigh Jo Meyers was born as the second child to the family years after their first Allyson was brought into their lives. A second girl though had left the need for a bit of diversity and within another year they adopted a bouncing baby boy to round out their group putting Carleigh into the middle pocket. Allyson was the older mature and sweet natured child, DeMarco was the only boy and adopted giving him a certain need as well, her placement in the family though instilled in her more of an independence and need to stand out at times, create some noise.
As a child Allyson was the twinkle in her little sister's eye. She wanted to follow her everywhere and have the same things she did, doing the annoying things little sisters were supposed to; stealing her things, wearing her makeup. But as she grew out of those things the two grew closer together. Her sister was her back up when she got into trouble, nothing changed between them. Even after Allyson's move to Port Charles visits were planned every few months. So when Carleigh had been told that her sister was assumed dead after a kidnapping and disappearance her world crumbled quickly in front of her eyes.
For the months that ensued Carleigh learned to cope with the loss never fully accepting it until the phone call came that Allyson was alive and returning to Sea Port. Naturally feeling the need to be close to her sister again she broke their parents heart and packed her things to move nearer to her sister and support her as she readjusted to her old life and the new parts as well.[Back]
