Anastasia is the daughter of Cesar Faison and Alex Devane. She was born out of a deal made by Faison and Alex's Aunt Charlotte. The two had entered into a business deal and in the end, Charlotte offered Faison Alex to take the place of his beloved Anna. In the end, Faison drugged and raped Alex. Alex had no memory of the event and later when she found out she was pregnant, she assumed that her baby's father was her current boyfriend. With Charlotte whispering in her ear and trying to twist Alex further under her thumb, Alex eventually gave in and gave her daughter up for adoption to a lovely family. What Alex didn't know is that the lovely couple were actually workers for Faison. Faison took custody of his young daughter, keeping the name her mother gave her. He set up a home in Paris, and raised her there with the help of a nanny. He explained to her from the time that she was old enough to ask that her mother was a wonderful woman named Anna, who died giving birth to her. She was very close to her father - not knowing his true nature and believing that his prolonged disappearances were because of his business job. She has grown up very well educated and loved by her father. She is now in her mid twenties. She has no idea that her real mother is working to track her down.
