Amelia Joffe is a TV producer who comes to Port Charles looking for someone to "star" in the show she's producing: Everyday Heroes. Amelia already has the perfect candidate in mind: Samantha Morgan. Amelia wants to lure Sam into the fame that the show will bring and then reveal the past Sam has kept buried: she is responsible for Amelia's father's death. Amelia strongly dislikes Sam and is coming to Port Charles purposely with revenge in mind.
Amelia discovered that Sam was dating her father and conned him out of all her money. She'd done that to several men previously but with her father it had one aspect Sam hadn't counted on: Bill Munroe had a heart attack after realizing what Sam had done and died in the hospital shortly after. Amelia plans to destroy Sam in the exact same way Sam destroyed her father: she plans to publicly humiliate her and then destroy her marriage and ensure Jason takes away her child. Look out Port Charles!
