Two years ago Sydney was in devastating fire that she caused...an accident with a candle while making love with her boyfriend. Caleb Turner taught her how to con and take every nickel, penny, and dime from anybody. He became her older brother to Syd and the only family she needed. They ran lots of cons together but when the California a con went bad they were forced to separate. Syd got word from a bartender where Caleb was going. Port Charles. That's were her real mother gave birth to her. All she knows is her father is dead and her mother and grandfather sold her to the Cooper's when her adopted mother couldn't have kids. She coming to find her "brother" and maybe even her family. Caleb and Sydney may have more in common than they think.
Sydney settled into life in Port Charles very well. She had a brief romance with Roy DiLucca, and wound up pregnant. After her and Roy fizzled out, she left town to raise her baby, promising her friend Caleb that she would be there when he needed her.
