Tired of not being able to do anything for his wife Kendall, Zach found he had one last shot. He moved his entire family to Port Charles so that Kendall could see doctors Noah and Patrick Drake for neurological treatment. He hoped with everything that it would bring her out of the coma that she was trapped in due to the tornado that swept through Pine Valley weeks ago. This certainly wasn't met with approval by Kendall's mother Erica Kane, but Zach didn't care. His sons (Spike and Ian) needed their mother, the nanny could only do so much for the boys. In need of a distraction during the hours that he is not by Kendall’s side or with their sons, Zach has made an investment in the Haunted Star Casino. He has great hopes of reopening it and returning it to its former glory. Fortunately for him, Reese Williams (girlfriend to his sister-in-law Bianca Montgomery and mother to his nieces Miranda Montgomery and Gabrielle Williams-Montgomery) is in Port Charles. He has plans to ask her to help out with the renovations. The casino will help to drum up more business for the Metro Court amongst other business' in town.
While Kendall is in her coma, Fusion - her company with good friend Greenlee Smythe - has fallen under Cambias Industries wing. Deciding that it might help to broaden the companies horizons, Zach has decided to open up a ConFusion in Port Charles, though this branch would be more of a club for the under 21 crowd. Zach has also donated a large amount of money along with special equipment for the Neo Natal unit of the hospital.
