Tony Jones has had his ups and downs in life. He first came to Port Charles as a neurologist and settled into the city well. After his first wife died, he drifted through life but grew close to Bobbie Spencer. He appointed her guardian of his daughter, BJ. The two fell in love and eventually married. Together they raised BJ and their adoptive son Lucas. Tragedy struck when BJ's bus was hit by a drunk driver. BJ was seriously hurt and Tony declared her brain dead. He made the decision to give her heart to her cousin, Maxie. Tony and Bobbie's relationship couldn't survive BJ's death and he ended up having an affair with Carly. It was definitely a low point in his life and he had a breakdown after he kidnapped Carly's infant son. But he has built his life back up since then and has regained his status as a respectable member of the community.
