Marcus Taggart left town to pursue a higher career plan, having felt under-used by the PCPD. He made Police Chief in Chicago, but realized he needed to choose between his sister or his career when Gia returned to Port Charles. Choosing his sister, Marcus transferred back to the PCPD as Mac's assistant and enjoys a pay raise. Marcus has found a small apartment and plans to involve himself deeply into his sister's life, making sure no one is taking advantage of her. Especially Nikolas Cassadine, her ex-fiancé. Marcus wouldn't rule out finding love of his own, providing any woman can put up with his hard personality. Marcus also plans to join the ranks of those trying to put his biggest enemy away: Sonny Corinthos. He wants to rid Port Charles of crime, and is obsessed with making it happen.
