Jaden "J.B." Bishop grew up the first nine years of his life living in a
bad part of Chicago. He looked up to his big brother Charles a lot,
wanting to be just like him...even when his brother became part of one
of the neighborhood gangs. When Jaden was seven, Charles was taken away
from his family for stealing a car at the age of fourteen and Jaden was
devastated that his big brother was
gone. He started acting out because he missed his big brother; Jaden was
even more hurt when his parents were killed in a drive by shooting when
he was nine and he was taking across the country to stay with the
Bishops' cousin in the suburbs of Clear Valley, California.
The last time he saw Charles was before his brother was taken to the
orphanage when he was sixteen.
In California, Jaden got a taste of a different kind of life where
things weren't so hard. He found hismelf pleasantly enjoying being one
of the "burb" kids and eventually entered high school, getting very
interested in music. Jaden began to make beats and produce some original
music, even performing at the school's dancers and becoming the
designated party DJ. His reputation started to proceed him and at 16,
Jaden was working with producers in the music
industry and attending industry parties. Getting into the life
of mini superstar, he started to perform at raves and underground
parties, using a drug called Bliss to help him with his
stage fright. At first, Jaden only used
it for his nerves because it made him feel like he could do anything but
than he started to become dependant on the drug.
His music teacher, Angela Marcs, found out about Jaden's drug use and
helped him kick his habit at the age of seventeen. Before Angela left,
she helped Jaden get his focus back and he performed at a showcase where
he won a developmental recording contract with a
record label, L&B records based out of
Port Charles. Jaden's trip to the little city
has him excited because all his hard work has paid off but will he be
able to resist the temptations that await him there?
