Jack didn’t have an easy childhood. He never met his mother because she died due to a complication during childbirth and his father has been a drunk ever since he could remember. His father was a working alcoholic, but Chad could never hold a steady job because he would constantly not show up for work due to the fact that he was either too hungover to leave the house, or he was simply passed out. Despite his father’s problem, Jack refused to go into foster care, so he just dealt with it. When he got to be 18, Jack went off to college to study photography. While in college, he met and fell in love with a woman named Chelsea Woods. However, she broke his heart and cheated with a mutual friend. The reason she gave: Jack was too dedicated to his studies. After the Chelsea-fiasco, Jack finished up college and made it big in Europe as a photographer. His convinced his father to go into rehab, but the two are not close. Jack met Brenda Barrett at a social event and the two became friends. Brenda told him that if he ever got sick of his current job, to give her a call and he could work for her at Deception. Jack grew tired of life in Europe and wanted to make a change. With no reason to stay, besides work, he called Brenda up a month ago and took her up on that offer of hers. When Brenda got the call from her pal, she was elated and instantly hired him over the phone. However, he had to put in his notice at his job in Europe so he couldn’t just pack up and leave on the spot. Now that Jack is free to leave, he packs his things and arrives in Port Charles, just in time for the big Deception- Couture photoshoot.
