Donovan is the biological son of Thomas & Judith Forrester. He was kidnapped by an enemy of Thomas' at birth and presumed dead, leaving Thomas & Judith to have adopted and raise Tatianna. Donovan was raised by another family his whole life, thinking he was their biological son. He was taken from that family when he was old enough and given plastic surgery to look like Stone Cates. That's when Cesar Faison began brainwashing him, giving him the history of his former life. He returned to Port Charles, reacquainting himself and falling in love with Robin all over again.
The truth was revealed on his wedding day to Robin: he was not Stone Cates. Stone hired a P.I. who dug up his past and pointed him towards the Forresters. While he was unable to access his parents directly, Donovan has met his adoptive sister and is determined to be a good brother to her. As he's begun to realize, family is everything.
