Devin grew up in New York City with his parents who were quite wealthy. Growing up Devin always felt that his life was missing something, that even with all he had there was still something more that he wanted. One day while he was cleaning the attic, Devin found an envelope with a baby picture of him and a man who was holding him that wasn't his father. The picture was attached to a letter which Devin went on to read. When Devin read the line "I'm sorry for what I have to do but giving you up is the best thing for you...", that was when Devin knew he was adopted.
Devin found out this information when he was 22 and confronted his "parents" with what he found out. After talking with them, Devin felt that he didn't need to know who his birth parents were. At the age of 26 when he graduated from law school, Devin decided that it was time for him to find the people who gave him life. He searched New York City, went to adoption agency after adoption agency, but no luck. A few months ago at the age of 27, he got a lead that has now lead him to Port Charles, he hopes that he will find answers there.
