Denny has just arrived in Port Charles from Seattle after one heck of a ride. He was born and raised in Washington, coming from a very loving, close-knit, WEALTHY family. After graduating from college, he began to have heart problems that persisted and worsened as time went by. Eventually, his heart gave out completely and he was put on the National Donor List. This landed him at Seattle Grace hospital, and as fate would have it, brought him to the love of his life, Izzie Stevens. After a long and hard few months, they found a match and the transplant was a success. After months of rehabilitation, medications up the wazoo, and monitoring 24/7, Denny was released from the hospital and was thrilled to get back to a normal life. Denny & Izzie married quickly, but divorced a few years later. Why, you ask? Well, you'll just have to be patient...it will all come out eventually - everything does!
Recently, Denny got a call about his cousin, Jared, and his remains in Port Charles. Denny & Jared were never really close, but Denny (knowing that Jared doesn't have anyone else) is determined to sort this mess out.
