At age 2, Andrew and his big brother Jeremy were told their parents had been killed in a car accident. From then on, 12 year old Jeremy took care of Andrew, even after being placed in foster care.When he was 6, Andy was molested by
the caretakers running the orphanage. The abuse lasted for years until
the home was shut down, and the brothers placed in a new home.
Andy grew up idolizing his big brother, but seeing there was a sadness
that came from not being able to live his own life because he was so
focused on providing for his younger sibling. Andy has always tried to
be independent so that Jeremy won't have to worry about him, but most of
the time ends up in trouble. Andy's love of cars has led him to take an
auto shop class in high school, and he hopes to one day have his own
garage. Now he's on his way to Port Charles, where he hopes to gain his
independence from Jeremy.
Because of what happened during his childhood, Andy also started getting
deeper into his fantasies of werewolves and vampires, and fancies
himself a slayer, ready for a fight at any given time. Jeremy let's him
play his game, because it's better than the alternative of letting him
remember what happened.
