Adam is the 'king' of Pine Valley. He has recently regained control of the family company, Chandler Enterprises, and has vowed that his son JR will never get his hands on it again to screw it up. Family means everything to Adam, and he protects those who are his bloodline with everything he has. People who cross Adam often live to regret it, as Adam thinks nothing of bribery or blackmail. Adam does draw the line at murder, but he's gotten close to crossing that line a few times. Adam has had a tempestuous relationship with his other grown children, especially Hayley, Skye, and Rosalyn. He adores his younger daughter Colby and is still working on regaining custody of her. He's thrilled that JR has sole custody of his grandson, Adam III. Realizing that it would be his benefit to get to know Skye's daughter, Adam decides to spend a few months in Port Charles bonding with his family.
