Relationships between women in the soap opera world usually lead to one thing - a catfight. Hair putting, scratching and spitting is the activity of the day! It is a rare thing to see a genuine friendship between two woman in today's soap operas. Although it has it's catfights, GH Changes has it's friendships as well. Take a moment to explore just of few of the strong female bonds the game has to offer.
Elizabeth
Webber and Emily Quartermaine - These two are always there for one
another. Elizabeth and Emily are supportive of one another and always
there one the other is down. When Emily was dealing with cancer,
Elizabeth did everything she could to make the ordeal easier for her
friend. Now the tables are turned, with Elizabeth believing she may be
behind Faith Roscoe's death. Along with Nikolas, Emily has opened her
home and invited Elizabeth and her young son Cameron to stay at
Wyndamere. When Nikolas and Emily decided to get out of town to take a
breather away from their families the only person Emily decided to tell
was Elizabeth. There is a lot of trust between these two!
Carly
Corinthos and Courtney Matthews - Carly
first extended the olive branch to Courtney after her husband Sonny
found out that Courtney was his sister. Acting as a go between, Carly
tried her best to bring the long lost siblings together. Soon she found
herself genuinely liking Courtney. The two became fast friends, and when
Courtney started dating Carly's best friend Jason, Carly was ecstatic at
the thought of her two friends in love. Even after the marriage between
Courtney and Jason failed, the two women still care for one another.
Eden
Collins and
Emilla Cates - A friendship in the
making! These two met at Port Charles' newest hot spot the restaurant
Lisa's. A brief chat later and the pair seemed to be getting along quite
well! Emilla found herself looking up to the other woman, who was
currently making over Club 101 and calling it her own. When they ran
into each other a few days later, Emilla found herself seeking Eden's
advice on a variety of things. She trusted and valued the other woman's
opinion. Eden decided to return the favor by making her new acquaintance
the hostess of Club 101. The real question is - will this friendship
survive Emilla's schemes?
Gia
Campbell and Alexis Davis - Co-workers make good friends. Well, not
always but in the case of lawyers Alexis and Gia it is true. The two
have been friends since Gia dated Alexis' nephew Nikolas. Even though
the relationship broke off, Alexis was still one of the first people Gia
sought out when she returned to town last year. The two caught up and
noticed the lack of a male in each others lives. Although she was joking
at first, Gia suggested the two set the other up on a blind date.
Despite some misgivings Alexis agreed. Gia picked Ric and Alexis picked
Steven. Now Alexis is trusting Ric to help her guard her daughter and
Gia just told Steven they are going to have a baby. It seems these two
know each other well enough to pick the right man!
Carly
Corinthos and Allyson Meyers - Carly and Allyson are a case of childhood
friends that managed to keep in touch over the years. The two grew up
together in Carly's native Florida. They were very close and when Carly
moved to Port Charles to meet her real mother, Allyson still keep in
touch. Now Allyson has come to Port Charles as well to open her own
business and be near her childhood friend and her family. But Allyson
has ran into some trouble in the form of Luis Alcazar. Will Carly have
to help her friend?
Although, they seem like an everyday occurrence, female friendships are a rare thing on a soap operas. It is heartwarming to see that some can see past the jealously and pride and actually form long lasting bonds!
