I am a huge fan of the unconventional couple. I like wild pairings - and this became my inspiration for this month's article. I asked the readers and writers of GHC to let me know who they would love to see hook up! Whether it be because of imagined chemistry, storyline possibilities or just because - many answered! Here they are - the dream pairings of GHC!
Shakin' Up the Canvas - Pairings designed to rock GHC!
Some submissions were designed to shock the citizens of Port Charles. You know the ones I am talking about...they would enter a room and everyone would turn their head and whisper long after they have left.
First up - Brett Scorpio and Anna Devane. Imagine the gossip if the superspy hooked up with the younger brother of her ex-husband! It would sure cause some tension in the Scorpio household!
And then there is Luis Alcazar and Carly Corinthos. I am sure that Sonny would go over the edge if he found out that his wife was hooking up with a rival and to top it off that rival be Luis! Given the fact that Carly and Luis have never really gotten along - I am sure the hate sex would have to be something else!
How about Lorenzo Alcazar and Elizabeth Webber? The mobster and the nurse? One of Port Charles' most beloved citizens hooking up with the wrong side of the law might raise more than a few eyebrows.
Oh Bobbie...didn't you try the Cassadine thing once? Well maybe you just picked the wrong one....perhaps Victor Cassadine and Bobbie Spencer would work, or at least cause Luke to blow a gasket or two!
I am sure that Scott would love his little girl hookin' up with the mob. Diego Alcazar and Serena Baldwin would definitely cause a few ripples and a few heartattacks.
Because they would be pretty, dammit!
Let's face it! There are a lot of pretty people in Port Charles. And everyone loves a pretty couple. Here are some submissions based on imagined chemistry.
A meeting of the smart mouthed hotties - Caleb Turner and Sage Alcazar. A con man and a mafia princess meet and bicker, and kiss and bicker, and have hot sex and bicker. But hey, they would look damn good doing it.
Sex sells...Sonny Corinthos and Eve Bishop. There is no denying that Eve is one hot woman. And Sonny has proven in the past that he enjoys a beautiful challenge. Eve definitely fits the bill!
Show me the sophisticated charm of Stefan Cassadine and Holly Sutton. Both have a certain life style and air of grace about them. Together they would be quite possibly the closest thing GHC could see to royalty...and hey if they don't work out, what about Stefan Cassadine and Anna Devane?
He's a handsome business man...she's a beautiful business woman. So why don't Jasper Jacks and Eden Alcazar do some business together? Eye candy alert!
Could you imagine the story?
Given that GHC is driven by storylines, some suggested storylines that reflect their desire to see a damn good storyline!
Caught between the mob and the law. Johnny Zacchara and Sage Alcazar. Sage has already given her heart to Detective Talon Spencer...what would happen if she found herself attracted to mobster Johnny?
Schemers need love too - AJ Quartermaine and Dawn Sinclair. I am sure that no one in Port Charles would be safe from these two! They could compete with Daniel Samsonov and Marina Giovanni for the couple with the most agenda.
Love for both brothers...Gia nearly married Nikolas leading some to think that she should follow the soap tradition and move on through the family. Lucky Spencer and Gia Campbell make the list...hey they kissed in the past, so they already have their foot in the door!
Partner is crime...eh, love! Robert Scorpio and V Ardanowski have been thick as thieves. Maybe it's time they hit the sheets!
A Return to the Old!
Some took this as the chance to bring back old favorites!
There were quite a few people who actually wanted to see the return of Ric Lansing and Elizabeth Webber. The couple ended things on good terms given what happened during their relationship and many would like to see that explored.
For pure chemistry alone some would love to see Zander Smith and Carly Corinthos have another go at it. The pair never really got a chance on the show but could have a second chance in GHC. And if not Zarly, some wouldn't mind seeing Zander Smith and Emily Quartermaine reunite. Even though she cheated and he was considered dead, the chemistry is still there!
And while we're at it, why can't Jasper Jacks and Alexis Davis have another chance? After all their marriage was actually a civil one!
Finally, there is no denying that on screen Sonny Corinthos and Brenda Barrett were on of GH's supercouples. Could that translate to GHC?
