The GHC Awards
The are a few guidelines that must be followed in order to for this to run smoothly. Please take the time to read them and follow them when submitting your nominations. If for some reason they are not followed, your nominations will be invalid and not count.
1. Participation is voluntary. You don't have to submit nominations if you don't want to. This is open to both active players and those who just sit back and read the the posts.
2. Please read the definitions of each category carefully before submitting your nominations. Make sure that the characters your are nominating fit into that category (age wise, etc.) Many category descriptions list the specifications for the nominations. If you are unsure if your nomination is correct contact Mandy.
3. The nominations work in two rounds - the first round begins the end of May and lasts until the end of June. Anyone wishing to participate has between those dates to submit their TOP FIVE in each category. After June 30th, those mentioned most in the players' top fives will become the final list of initial nominees. The initial nominees will be posted to the list and on the website for future reference.
4. Starting in early July and ending early/mid August, the final voting will take place. Anyone wishing to participate will pick their TOP THREE in each category from the initial nominees. After voting closes, the top three lists will be tabulated and the winners will be announced.
5. All nominations are to be sent to Mandy OFF LIST! Please do not send your nominations to the list. Voting is nearly anonymous. Only Mandy knows who voted for who.
6. Nominations should be picked between the time frame of the summer of the last year and the spring of the current year. Storylines, etc should not come from before that. If you are a newer member and haven't read any of the fall stuff, don't worry. Nominate what you know.
7. Although you are free to nominate whoever you like (including your own characters), consistently voting for yourself (ie: creating a top five of all your characters) is probably not the best idea and is frowned upon. If you think your character deserves a nod, thrown them in. Just don't go overboard with the self nomination.
8. Remember this is all for fun! It's not a cutthroat competition. Everyone is doing a great job in the game so if your not nominated or you don't make the top three, please don't take it personally.
