The GHC Awards
When the awards first started, we were affiliated with a now dead list called, When Worlds Collide. The categories were the brainchild of former list mommy, and GH Changes' member Maya. Many of the categories are the same - although a few have been replaced and added. Please read each category carefully and for information on how to nominate your favorites see the award guidelines.
Best Adult Female - Any female character (original or canon) who makes you laugh, cry or everything in between. The character must be age 30 or older for the nomination to be valid.
Best Adult Male - Any male character (original or canon) who makes you laugh, cry or everything in between. The character must be age 30 or older for the nomination to be valid.
Best Younger Female - Any female character (original or canon) who stands out among the rest. The character must be between the age of 20 and 29 for the nomination to be valid.
Best Younger Male - Any male character (original or canon) who stands out among the rest. The character must be between the age of 20 and 29 for the nomination to be valid.
Best Teenage Female - Any female character (original or canon) whose teen angst or adventures has you enthralled. The character must be between the age of 13 and 19 for the nomination to be valid.
Best Teenage Male - Any male character (original or canon) whose teen angst or adventures have you enthralled. The character must be between the age of 13 and 19 for the nomination to be valid.
Best Original Female - Any player created female character who has fit seamlessly into the Port Charles' canvas. The nominated character can be of any age.
Best Original Male - Any player created male character who has fit seamlessly into the Port Charles' canvas. The nominated character can be of any age.
Best Newcommer - Best new character (male or female of any age) that has hit Port Charles within the last year.
Best Villain - The male or female character whose deeds have made you hate them - or love to hate them. The nominated character can be of any age.
Best Rivalry - These people just cannot get along no matter what! The nominated characters can be of any age.
Best Friendship - Two characters who are there for each other through thick and thin. The nomination can apply to couples of all ages.
Best Couple - The two people whose romance has captured you heart. The nomination can apply to couples of all ages.
Best Triangle - For all those characters who seem torn as to where their heart lies. In order for the nomination to be valid, the triangle has to have existed for more than a few scenes.
Best Writing Chemistry - This is an out of character award for writers who seem to have the best chemistry when they write together.
Best Dramatic Moment - Your heart's pounding. You've got tears on your face. You can't wait to see what happens next. Nominations in this category should be storylines where drama is the key.
Best Romance Moment - In which a romance plays out whether the two become a couple or not. It may include people that were already couples if it shows their relationship changing.
Best Overall Storyline - For the best storyline in any genre...which storyline overall is the best!
