Assessment: The students
were assessed orally to give an insight into what they have learnt from
this project. This conclusion was compiled from the answers provided by
the students
Conclusion
After analyzing the questionnaire students answered and their level
of participation in the various lessons I had with them, the students drew
the conclusion that, despite the problems associated with signposting in
the Asokwa area, majority of the populace still benefit from the messages
they carry. This stems from the fact that they are so used to these words
that they easily read and understand what the artisans intended to write.
Despite these benefits the public enjoys, I still suggest that the various
artisans in the community form unions through which they can educate each
other on simple grammar, colour selection and their combinations.
Through this, they can coordinate to bring sanity their work. Industrialists
concerned should also ensure that the messages they give to these artisans
to write are free from grammatical errors and incorrect spellings. My hope
is that in the near future qualified artisans are employed to undertake
sign posting to give the public better information than they have now.
