ABOUT ME Hi, you are at the homepage of Gomathy Gowri Narayanan. I was born in Madurai, the Temple city of Tamilnadu. I did my schooling in Madurai and my Bachelors at RVS College of Engineering and Technology, Dindigul. I came to United States for my Masters. I am the tiny tots at home and amongst my friends too...I have been given all that I want in life so far...I am very thankful to God for giving me such a wonderful life, family and friends. Due to such a wonderful life I have had, I had the freedom to choose my likes and dislikes. These are a few things I like and dislike the most... I love the following things a lot.. I love melodies and classics..A.R.Rahman and Maestro Illayaraja are my favorite music directors. Maragatha mani[Tamil] / MM Kreem[Hindi] / Keeravani[Telugu] is one unsung music director whom I like a lot. Apart from these, any good music is my favorite. I love TEDDY BEARS and I have a good collection of them and my love for teddy bears have never come to an end even after I have grown up to completing my Masters. I have a dream of going to Vermont teddy bear factory and have my own teddies made there.. Have a look at my teddy bears without fail..they will be happy to wish you a HI.. I love NATURE and love to admire nature and spend time with nature. Watching the sunset and counting stars in the sky are my favorite passtimes...I used to imagine shapes from the moving clouds and enjoy watching rain..and love all the times I spend with nature. I love BABIES a lot. I tend to lose my age when I see babies and play with them...my two most favorite babies are my nephew and neice. Are'nt they cute..!! I love to collect baby posters and pictures and have a huge collection of them here. I wish I were born as another Anne Geddes. Her creativity and grace...oh my God..!! I love RAIN...the rythm of rain..I love to dance in rain..and get excited to see the rain fall on earth and the fragrance of flowers and soil it brings along...when I was in school and in college, I used to dance in rain and after the rain is gone..I used to shake the plants to get wet again..in the droplets that the rain had left on them. I love FLOWERS and like to grow flowers. I love red roses and I also like tulips. Roses are my favorite and wish I had a big garden of mine. My passion for flowers and nature helped me score good in Botany when I was in school. My big time dream is to have a big roof garden with all flowers of my choice and a seperate garden dedicated totally for roses. Here are some of the flowers I loved. Click here to see them. I love to COOK and love to see others enjoy the food I cook. I like to try new items everyday..but somehow most of the times that was not possible. I am a decent cook and draw inspiration from my mom and sister. They are my favorite cooks. For those of you who are afraid of cooking, dont worry guys..cooking is no great a magic..learn cooking from Sanjeev Kapoor, Tarla Dalal and Bawarchi. I dont want anythingelse if you gave me tons of icecreams and let me enjoy them. Strawberry is my favorite flavor and I like vanilla and tutty fruity too..Baskin Robbins are a great chain of shops here in US where u get great treats for icecream lovers. Some say that Ben and Jerry is also good. But if you dont like icecreams you are missing a big part of fun in your life..  .I love CHOCOLATES as much as I love icecreams. Dairy milk is my all time favorite chocolate. Fruit and nuts are delicious. Dans is a famous chocolate factory, but never had a chance to eat their chocolates other than seeing the pictures of their chocolates at their website. Ferrero Rocher is my favorite here in US. I have heard that Swiss chocolates are great..havent had them yet.!!  ..!!I love to dance...I am not a great dancer though..I feel so light and happy when I dance. I feel dancing is the best medicine to get rid of your worries. I love BHARATHA NATYAM, the traditional dance of Tamilnadu. I always feel bad that I dint get the opportunity to learn that wonderful art. Padmashree Dr. Padma Subramaniam is my favorite Bharathanatyam dancer. Whenever I see her, I feel bad for having missed my childhood days, without learning this art. I will learn Bharathanathyam when I start earning my own bread. To learn more about this art click here. I love DISNEY characters a lot and when I was young my dream was to go to Disney Land and spend the whole of my life with Mickey, Minnie, Donald Duck and their friends. IDLI & DOSA are my favorites and my mom used to say that I would give anything for Idlis. I love the Idlis made by my mom and these two are my favorite morning tiffins like most other Tamilians. I am not a great eater..but I love to TASTE good food. I like those chit-chats better than the real meal. I love Bhel poori, Cutlets, Maggi, Poori, Burgers, Sandwitches, French Fries, Mixture, Chev, and the list keeps growing..!! I dont like sweets all that much..but these are exceptions. I cant resist the taste of Milk Sweets, esp. Srivilliputtur Palkova, Gulab Jamun and Tirunelveli Halwa. I love to ADMIRE NATURE as you may have known by now..and so I love Switzerland and Kashmir. I feel that nature smiles a lot in these places with her beauty. I have a dream to visit Swiss, Kashmir, Australia and Newzealand atleast once in my lifetime. These are my dream vacation plans. I love CRICKET a lot. I like to watch nail-bitting matches, and also like to play cricket. But due to lack of practise I am not usually taken in any team, expect for any tournament in which there is a women's team . Sachin Tendulkar is my all-time favorite
cricketer and Indian team is my favorite team(..obviously..!!!), but like to watch the
Aussies too. To play in the fields in village To bathe in a river To navigate a jet plane To sleep in a large bed of red roses To hold 100 ballons in my hands To play keyboard And many more...... I hate the following things as much as I love the above ones.. The first thing I hate is the reason for so many ORPHANS around the world. I wish I could do something to stop it. I feel very bad when I think of those Orphans. Sooner or later in my life, I will have to do something for them. I used to wonder why my country is poor inspite of all the riches she has. The reason for the above is the government and the inborn CORRUPTIONS that constitute the constitution of the government in India. If I were given great powers by God, I would reformulate the constitution and let only learned men rule the country and throw criminals off their seats. I hate corruption in the form of bribes that is most prevalent in my country. I hate men who send their parents to the old people's home. I feel that these men are better not born. They send their own parents off their home..afterall he is noone without them..!! I cannot stand such men in life. I hate CHILD LABOUR & ILLETRACY. There should be new laws passed in, to stop child labour.. I hate those Male Chauvinists who treat women as the weaker sects in the society. I feel and believe that women are as equal and as powerful and important as men. I hate exploiting animals. Using bulls/horses for carts and torturing animals in any way, are things that I cant stand and tolerate. I wish that those who visit my page and have had the patience to scroll down till here will never be a cause for the increasing list of Orphans and will never send their parents out of their house uncared...will never be a cause or a victim of these rooted corruptions in India. Thanks for visiting this site and thanks for making up your mind to stand up with me for these good causes. It is all in our mind that we become..!! We think of good things in our mind and we become a good citizen. My dream India is the one with all riches and with no corruption and no exploitation of the weaker sects in the society. No illetracy, No poverty and No Orphans. I hope and wish we will see India as the richest and the happiest country very soon.
