My name is Gary Scourtas. I work at a shelter for familys that have one or more family members in recovery from substance abuse. We operate in the seaside community of Gloucester in the state of Massachusetts. Our shelter overlooks Niles Beach with a view of the Boston skyline in the distance.
I just happened to be looking for a name for this site when one of our shelter residents started calling me "G man". I decided to use it. I changed "G Man" to "Ji Man" to allude to the tone balancing effect of applying Ji (pronounced "Jee") paste to the bore of a shakuhachi flute.
