Cornelius Molhoek moved to Patterson, NJ in 1894, then to Nooredloos, MI where his father was lay preacher at Nooredloos Christian Reformed Church. After his father died they moved to Grand Rapids, MI and he attended the fore-runner of Calvin College. In 1905 he apprenticed in the plumbing trade and for many years was in the contracting business. They attended Gospel Fellowship Church

a. John Gerrit Molhoek, born 10 APR 1912 at Grand Rapids, MI; married 21 SEP 1938 Marjorie Mable Johnson born 02 APR 1916; daughter of Conrad Johnson and Mable Anderson.

John attended Oakdale Christian and Ottawa Hills High School. He entered the insurance business in 1929 with the Grand Rapids Insurance Agency. He joined Grinnell Row Co. in 1942 and was president and principal owner until reitring in 1978. He was active in insurance organizations, President of Grand Rapids and Michigan associations. He was president of the Grand Rapids Kiwanis and Governor of the Michigan District of Kiwanis. John enjoys choral music and was president of the Schubert Club and a member of their quartet. He attended Gospel Fellowship Church since 1935. Reading historical and current events is his hobby as well as golf. Marjorie attended East Grand Rapids High School and Davenport College. She is a homemaker and a devoted mother and grandmother.

i. David Cornelius Molhoek, born 21 JUL 1941 at Grand Rapids, MI; attended East Grand Rapids High School; B.A. degree from University of Michigan; taught high school english; coached football and track. He is president of Alumni Industries wholesaling lumber. His homes are in Boise, ID and Dallas, TX. He does business from both locations. He remains unmarried, saying he's not ready for connubial felicity.
ii. Daniel Conrad Molhoek, born 21 JUL 1941 at Grand Rapids, MI; married 15 AUG 1964 Barbara Ley; born 06 APR 1942; daughter of Arlon Ley and Harriet Krey.
