Sleep research has shown that restlessness and sleep movements are largely due to high pressure points. This results in 'tossing and turning' in an attempt to ease pressure on the hips and shoulders and to regulate circulation. Spring mattresses with cotton or conventional foam padding require turning every 3 months, in an attempt to delay the eventual onset of body impressions and sagging on the mattress sleeping surface. Although our mattresses are reversible, they do not need turning due to its anti sagging properties.

As part of our extensive testing for durability, our spring units are subjected to the equivalent of ten years wear and tear (BS 7397 : 1991). Compression tested against sagging (BS 3173 : 1971) and is fire retardant to US DOC FF-72 and/or BS 7177 source 1 Flame Safety Standard
